Racing at Ayr today (Fri) has been abandoned with the track still unraceable owing to an area of waterlogged ground in the home straight. Despite a dry day following Thursday’s abandonment track officials along with the BHA course inspector have taken another look at the affected area and there is very little improvement. There is no option but to cancel Friday’s card.
Treat yourself to a fantastic day out with top quality racing, glitz and glamour and after racing entertainment.

Day one of the William Hill Ayr Gold Cup Festival sees the curtain go up on Scotland’s richest Flat race meeting of the year.

On course the highlight is the Class 1 Listed William Hill Doonside Cup, one of the top races of the year run at the track.

Off the track our hotly contested best dressed ladies competition continues with several lucky ladies winning a place in the grand final the following day.

The fun then continues for another three hours after racing with the fabulous Waterfront playing in the Horseshoe Bar within the Club area.
